The Cherokee Strip, a buffer zone between Native American lands and white settlement, is about to open for settlement in 1889. Carver, a former cowhand turned rancher, has spent years working to secure a place in this last untouched frontier. As the land run approaches, he deals with rivalries, old debts, and political maneuvering to claim the best land. With the clock ticking down to the famous land run, Carver faces a choice: stay with the old ways of the cowhands or embrace the new era of settlers. But as the first wave of settlers gathers on the border, Carver realizes the stakes are higher than he ever imagined. The Cherokee Strip is about to become the most contested land in the West, and Carver must decide what he's willing to risk to claim his place in the new world.
