Late October 1880s in Sundown, a frontier town where a stranger arrives on horseback with a quiet intensity that unsettles the locals. Jim Torrance, a man with a past he's trying to outrun, enters a town where Steve Bordereau's gambling house holds power and danger. When Bordereau's violent history with Sally Dawn Cannon intersects with Torrance's arrival, a deadly game begins. Torrance finds himself drawn into a conflict he didn't seek, where loyalty is tested and violence is never far away.
