In the rugged beauty of Paradise Valley, Colorado, in the early 1920s, Sawyer Hollister battles a crippling drug addiction while living as a hobo. Once a decorated soldier, he's now a broken man, haunted by his past and struggling to find purpose. When he saves Vivian Lane from a dangerous encounter, he's thrust into the world of ranch owner Clint Lane and his daughter, a world far removed from the life he's known. As Sawyer tries to rebuild his life, he finds himself caught between the harsh realities of ranch life and the dangerous ambitions of cattleman Jake Prowers, who will stop at nothing to sabotage the Sweetwater Dam project.
