Born in Sepphoris, Galilee, Joseph son of Simeon grew up amid Roman occupation and religious tension. As a young man, he devoted himself to studying the Law with meticulous care, becoming known as "the plastered cistern" for his deep knowledge. His world shifts when he encounters a new prophet who challenges his understanding of God's law. As he follows the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, Joseph grapples with the tension between strict adherence to tradition and the emerging call to love and mercy. The path of faith becomes increasingly difficult as he witnesses the crucifixion of his teacher. Now, in the aftermath of the crucifixion, Joseph must confront his deepest doubts and find a way to continue his journey when all seems lost.
