In the Snake River valley of the 1870s, Peaceful Hart's peaceful ranch faces a threat from men staking illegal claims on his land. Kennick Imsen, raised by the Hart family but bearing mixed heritage, finds himself caught between his white upbringing and his Native American roots as he defends his adopted home.
